What a better backdrop for an outfit than a church all set up for a wedding. My cousin got married last weekend and chose a beautiful XV century church for his vows.
So, I can finally show you my very own Colette Crepe with the Buttercup bag I made.

After 4 muslins I needed to get the bodice to fit right I am quite happy with the result. Sorry for some wrinkles…I had a two-hour car ride to get there.

The fabric feels like taffeta but it’s actually cotton. I chose the fabric having this dress and the wedding in mind…and comes all the way from Mood in NYC (I actually never blogged about my trip to the fashion district). So for many reasons this outfit is really special to me.

Can you tell I love my new shoes? They are from Spanish designer Pura López that I could get on sale…I was impressed by how comfortable they are…the platform is the key here.
If I can be in love with a me-made outfit…this one really ticks all the boxes for me.
What is your favorite me-made garment?

This is soooo cute! I love everything about this dress, the neckline, the back, the fabric – it makes me want to rush out and buy the pattern!

Wow how beautiful! Crepe really is a lovely pattern. I’m not quite sure what my favorite me-made garment is, but my red polka-dot Crepe is certainly in the top 3!

Your Crepe is great! Now I am curious about your other 2 top 3 garments

*lol* You would ask… Actually, I’m not sure and I think they may be rotating depending on season. The red polka-dot jersey dress was a real favorite this summer, as was its blue, long-sleeved counterpart in spring, but both fabrics are already pilling, so their favor may be short-lived. Overall, I guess my plaid Rooibos should be in the top three, as I love wearing it in winter and I’m really proud of the construction. I also really love the grey rose dress. And my flowery Macaron. Sooo… Hard to decide.

Oh Silvia, it turned out beautifully. All those muslins were well worth it. The dress looks great on you and I love the added details of the matching bag and shoes. You look gorgeous in this outfit! My favourite me-made garment? Hands down, my red Alabama Stitch Book skirt: comfy and flattering all in one.

Thanks Andrea! You’re right it was worth it…now I have to make two more at least to compensate for the effort!

Bellissimo, Silvia, complimenti!

Jenny, you could try yoox.com They sell discount fashion. And that’s where I got my shoes. You need to lookout for bargains as they add new products all the time. I hope I have not created a new shopping addiction for you
